2019 is a symbolic year.
We remember and honor the 400-year anniversary of the first enslaved Africans transported to the United States in 1619, marking the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Kidnapped, chained, and dehumanized in the name of free labor, we pause in reverence. We share our resources. We offer encouragement. Our goal is to increase knowledge and educate as we unify around the impact our Black experience has made.
